Cakes by Linda
Linda, one of Kathy's closest friends, has decided to support the Trust by baking cakes to order.
For £7.50, Linda can make you a double-layered round sponge cake (serves 12) with a butter icing filling. All cakes are home-made with free range eggs. Alternatively, Linda can bake 18 muffin-sized cupcakes or 24 fairy cakes for the same price.
Choose from the following flavours:
- Vanilla;
- Orange;
- Lemon;
- Chocolate;
- Coffee;
- Mocha (Coffee and Chocolate).
Cakes can be decorated with water icing, butter icing, or chocolate. Linda is happy to alter the filling and decoration as required, but does not do "professional" icing (we think the cakes look pretty good none-the-less).
Gift Wrapping: For an additional 50p, cakes can be presented in a white box, ribbon tied and gift labelled.
Ordering: To order a cake, please contact Linda using the site contact form (make sure you select "Cake Enquiry" from the drop-down list). For each cake ordered, Linda will be donating £5 to the KJ Trust.
Delivery: Cakes can be collected from Linda's home in Barrow or delivered by arrangement in the local area.
Linda first met Kathy on her first day at Loughborough college in the autumn of 1971. They lived in neighbouring rooms on the 12th floor of the West Tower Halls of Residence. Kathy and Linda spent most of their spare time together and naturally became very close friends - a special friendship that Linda treasured greatly.
