World Cup Everest Challenge

We will be at Holywell Primary School, where Kathy was a teacher for many years, on Friday 16th June running a sponsored climb. The aim of the day is for the pupils to climb the equivalent height of Everest during the school day; a formidable task indeed.

To complete the challenge, children will climb a mobile climbing tower (8.2m high), create a personal World Cup flag and take part in a football obstacle course. This part of the challenge will simulate the trek needed to reach the base camps on the way to the summit of Everest.

Along the way, the pupils will also pass the equivalent heights of the highest mountains in all 32 countries taking part in this year’s World Cup.

We are expecting around 200 children to take part in the event. Good luck to the pupils taking part.
