Robin Hood Festival of Running 2007
Alan and Jenny successfully completed the Nottingham Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 16th September 2007. This was the first of seven challenges to officially launch Kathy's Trust, aptly named "Dad versus Daughter" Challenge.
Jenny completed the course in a time of just over 2 hours with her Dad finishing just under two hours. Both found the course challenging and Jenny's first words after finishing were, "I wanted to stop but I kept on going thinking of Mum which gave me the determination to complete the course."
The half marathon started at Victoria Embankment passing Robin Hood's statute and Nottingham Castle into the grounds of Nottingham University and Wollaton Park and finally back to the finish.
The forthcoming challenge will be an ARCHERY competition next month, keeping on the theme of Robin Hood!
