The Katherine Jacobs Trust

On Saturday 3rd November 2007 all the family were invited to the 'Garden of Remembrance' at Loughborough University. On a tranquil and warm autumnal day with the sun shining and the gardens looking splendid, the plaque for Kathy was dedicated by a short service conducted by the Loughborough University chaplains. Poems, readings and kind words were spoken by the chaplains. For example:

"Now is a time to remember those we have loved and see no more except in our memories and in our hearts. With the beauty of the garden around us and in the silence we will remember them."

After the service, the family made a short visit to the Chaplaincy to light a candle for Kathy and say a sincere thank you to the Chaplaincy staff of Loughborough University.
