On the 7th of August, Holly, Sophie, Scott, Sara and Mark drove up to Scotland to attempt to climb the last mountain in the Three Peaks Challenge - Ben Nevis. The drive took Sophie and Scott a gruelling 14 hours!
The brave walkers started ascending the mountain at 9am on Saturday morning. The weather was warm, making for a very busy mountainside and lots of water stops!
The walkers had Bailey the dog with them too, who also needed lots of breaks (so that he could lie in the various streams and waterfalls to cool off).
The climb was a hard one, but all agreed that it was a lot more enjoyable than the first two had been, mainly due to the fantastic scenery. Ben Nevis only has about 80 clear days per year, the group felt very lucky and privileged to have chosen one of them to make the climb.
It took the group 5 hours to reach the summit, where they were met with stunning views of the surrounding countryside.

To celebrate Kathy's birthday, and the completion of the challenge, the group hid a "Happy Birthday Kathy" stone at the top of Ben Nevis! Maybe if you climb Ben Nevis you can try and find it!
