The KJ Trust is a charitable organisation named in memory of Katherine Mary Jacobs, who worked as a teacher in Leicestershire. Katherine died in 2005 of a rare infection after having surgery to treat cancer.
The KJ Trust Ceilidh will be taking place on Saturday 18th March 2017. As in previous years, the event will be held at Quorn Village Hall (64 Leicester Road, Quorn). However, unlike previous years we will not be providing food at the event, so please bring your own snacks, drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) and glasses.
The event starts and 7:30 pm finishing at approx. 11:00 pm, and will involve lots of dancing, clapping, and cheering! Tickets cost £10 per person and must be bought in advance. To buy tickets please contact Alan directly, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Alan took part in the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday 24th April on behalf of the Katherine Jacobs Trust. His target was to raise £100 per mile. He is delighted to report that he has achieved his goal by raising over £2,600 to date. He finished in an impressive 4 hours 13 minutes and 25 seconds.
Last Saturday saw the return of the KJ Trust Quiz Night. Over 90 people attended to take part travelling from as far as Manchester and Sheffield. The evening was a huge success raising over £750.
The next KJ Trust charity Quiz Night will take place on Saturday 5th March 2016.
As usual, the quiz will take place at Quorn Village Hall. The quiz will start at 7:30pm and finish at 11:30pm (doors open at 6:45pm).
Tickets are £7.50 per person, and include a cold buffet. Bring your own drinks and glasses.
