On Saturday 14th March the Katherine Jacobs Trust had its biennial Ceilidh at Quorn Village Hall. Over 70 supporters of the Trust attended the event, which included barn dancing, a cold buffet and a prize raffle

The dancing began promptly 7:30pm and continued well into the evening. As in previous years, accomplished professional caller Charlie Corcoran did an superb job directing the dancing, jigging and swinging.

The action only stopped when the delicious cold buffet, prepared by Jenny, Sheena, Sarah and Julia, was served to the hungry room of revelers. The fare on offer included plenty of ham, homemade quiche, pasta salad and fresh bread. Pudding was supplied by expert baker, and long-time supporter of the Trust, Linda Marten. A beautiful selection of chocolate, coffee and vanilla cakes quickly disappeared before the dancing continued.
