Partnership with Leicester Sepsis Team

After a meeting with John Parker, lead consultant at Leicester’s hospitals it was agreed to work together to raise awareness of Necrotising Fasciitis (NF). Whilst the trust has been extremely successful in awarding grants to local schools it had been struggling to find a partner to support the medical objectives of the trust.

The newly formed Sepsis unit lead by John has the aim to raise awareness of Sepsis among staff and improve the management of septic patients across our hospitals.

The funding will go towards educational work within the hospital trust and NF recognition and management and to support the professional development of sepsis practice.
